Opacus provides Single Sign-On (SSO) to cloud services, in other words the ability to authenticate once in the local directory and then get access to all SAML 2.0 enabled cloud services without being prompted to log in again at each cloud application (SaaS).
Single Sign-On (SSO) is a mechanism whereby a single action of user authentication and authorization can permit a user to access all SAML 2.0 enabled cloud services, without the need to enter multiple passwords. Benefits from using SSO includes the ability to reduce password fatigue from different user name and password combinations, reducing time spent re-entering passwords for the same identity and reducing IT costs due to lower number of IT help desk calls about passwords issues and is therefore highly desirable.
As illustrated in this picture, Opacus provides single sign-on to any service that supports the SAML single sign-on standard, such as Google Apps, Salesforce and Amazon Web Services. Any additional service can easily be added as long as it supports SAML.
