Timber and forestry services company Weda Skog has for years been using strong authentication to secure access to Citrix for their staff and contractors. Employees have been using physical tokens while contractors have been using SMS based authentication. When Nordic Edge released Pledge, Weda Skog saw the possibility to save time and money by using mobile phones instead of the physical tokens. Pledge turns the mobile phone into a security token, generating one-time passwords for secure log-in. Pledge removes the need for physical tokens.

Now Weda Skog is using the Nordic Edge™ One Time Password Server to provide secure log-in for both staff and contractors. Since the administration for both groups of users is performed in Active Directory, the administrative overhead can be kept to a minimum. The system allows Weda Skog to choose which authentication method to use, and they now use Pledge for their employees and SMS authentication for the contractors. “Nordic Edge installed the solution in no-time and was able to quickly customise it to fit our requirements.
